As a City Council Member, I focus on the policy decisions that shape how Helotes grows, how city resources are managed, and how effectively the city serves its residents and businesses.
My priorities center on responsible growth, public safety, financial stewardship, economic development, and transparent city government.
Responsible Growth & Community Planning
Helotes is changing, and decisions made today will shape the community for decades to come. I support thoughtful planning that considers land use, infrastructure, traffic, public safety, municipal services, and the character of existing neighborhoods.
I support updating the City’s long-range planning tools with meaningful community input so future development can be evaluated within a clear vision for Helotes.
The goal is not to stop growth, but to make informed decisions about where and how growth occurs.
Public Safety & Essential Services
A safe and well-served community depends on strong police, fire, emergency medical, and public works services.
I support upgrading and maintaining the resources, facilities, equipment, and staffing needed to provide dependable essential services. She also supports continued coordination among the City’s public safety departments and responsible investment in infrastructure that serves residents and businesses.
Economic Development & Local Business
Local businesses are an important part of Helotes’ economy and community identity.
I support economic development that attracts appropriate investment, strengthens existing businesses, expands the local tax base, and complements the character of Helotes. I also support an Economic Development Corporation that operates within its legal authority, uses public funds responsibly, and establishes measurable goals for economic development programs and investments.
Commercial development and redevelopment should be considered in the context of its impact on Helotes’ infrastructure, traffic, public safety, municipal services, and the long-term needs of the community.
Responsible Use of City Resources
City government has a responsibility to manage public resources carefully and plan for both current needs and future obligations.
I focus on maintaining a sound financial position while making responsible investments in public safety, infrastructure, employees, and other essential city services. She believes budget decisions should be transparent and should consider both immediate community needs and long-term financial sustainability.
Transparency, Accountability & Community Engagement
Good local government depends on residents having meaningful opportunities to understand issues and participate in decisions that affect their community.
I support clear communication, timely public information, and opportunities for community input before major decisions are made. I also believe elected officials should maintain appropriate oversight of city operations while respecting the roles and responsibilities established by law.
